Valentine's Wish in October

My sweetheart finally came through on my Valentine's wish! Last February, I didn't ask for flowers, jewelry or chocolates - I asked for the chance to hold a monkey or chimp. Nearly eight months later, James found a way -- here's the proof. This is me and Michelle, a capuchin monkey who lives at Sharkarosa Ranch in Pilot Point, Texas.

The sweetness of Michelle is almost indescribable. She came to me without any hesitation, nuzzled her mouth against my ear and tenderly rubbed my neck with both of her little hands. So precious, it made my heart bloom.

James arranged a spectacular day at the ranch, which is an exotic animal sanctuary north of Dallas. ( www.sharkarosa.com ) Scott, the owner, picked us up in a helicopter in Paris and flew us to the ranch where we spent several hours touring and interacting with the animals. They have lemurs, white kangaroos, wallabies, camels, zebras, horses, Arctic foxes, exotic deer, sloths and more. After a nice dinner, we headed back to Paris via the chopper.

Thank you, Brown Sugar! First you, and now another dream come true.
